Relic gravitational waves (GWs) can be produced by primordial magnetic fields. However, not much is known about the resulting GW amplitudes and their dependence on details of generation mechanism. Here we treat field through chiral effect (CME) as a generic mechanism explore its speed (the product diffusivity characteristic wavenumber) characterizing maximum strength expected from CME.
